Being treated like a helpless child all the time Hearing The Caring Neurotypical Voice™ when people talk to you “Oh you can do that?” in regards to being able to do normal things everyone else can do.  Not being given the freedom to do what you want out of concern “(Name) is…

That isn’t the fault of the autistic child who does exist, and it shouldn’t be our burden. We need and deserve families who can see us and value us for ourselves, not families whose vision of us is obscured by the ghosts of children who never lived. Grieve if you must, for your

AMSONIA: Would you ever become a vegan?

Yes! Ideally, I’d like to be a vegan. It’s not doable for me, life or health wise right now, and it might never be. But I would.

PEONY: What’s your favorite hot beverage?

Already answered, but I’ll say it again because I’m a big nerd: I love herbal teas, of which there are a gazillion kinds.

HIBISCUS: Did you ever play an instrument? If so what?

JASMINE: What color looks best on you?

I like wearing medium and light greens, because it makes my eyes look more green. As for the colour that looks best on me, like with my colouring- maybe a warm medium grey? Or a red-leaning pink?

PEONY: What’s your favorite hot beverage?

I know “herbal tea” is an incredibly broad category, but that’s my answer.

POPPY: What color was your childhood home?

*counts on fingers* By my figuring, prior to age eighteen I lived in 10+ different houses, suites, or apartments, and one motel room. We moved a lot.

The house that popped into my head, though, had white and yellow siding, a blue door, and a grey roof.

LOCUST: What was your favorite book as a child?

Another tricky one! I was a voracious

3. At one point, when we lived in the boonies, we were feeding 10+ barn cats.
