Priscilla and Isaiah are out of town for the evening and left me parenting by myself. Will I survive? As long as I keep her busy with activities like her sensory swing, table tasks, and plenty of playtime we should be good…hopefully.

Video:Hello World: with Miyah- I am Back in my College after Five Years Off

So this is it, I am back in college working on my degree at Georgia State University in psychology after a five year break since Spring Semester in 2012. During that time off, I spent it figuring out what I wanted to do education wise.

Video:Hello World: with Miyah- I Will See 97% of the Sun Covered

Since I was 12, I have been wanting to get a glimpse of a second solar eclipse which last occurred on May 10, 1994. That opportunity will take place on August 21, 2017 and I am really excited along with putting my rears into gear. Though this is no instructional vlog, I guarantee that my new video will have some live experience of this eclipse.

Video:Hello World: with Miyah- It Took Me a Year to Pay off My Psych Evaluation

Last year, I learned that my last psychology evaluation, which was in 2003, had expired and would prevent me from getting services such as accomodations on campus. Being that I have to take care of myself, I attempted to get an evaluation by putting my eggs into one basket with a non-profit organization that writes scholarships for people to get evaluations . Yet, there was enough money for one payment, the intake interview.

Lots of individuals with autism and their families struggle to pay for services to get them the services that they need. The problem is that these services are extremely costly and there is no medicaid to cover the cost.
