Blog:Pharaohs World!- Damn the labels!

So tonight I feel small again.

Because, apparently, how I describe myself is wrong. It’s not how people want to be described. It’s not their preference. It causes a divide. It’s bad.

What about my preference ?

How about the way I want to describe myself ?

Nope. Doesn’t matter. Apparently it’s wrong!

Calling myself an Aspie is wrong!

I’m sorry but this is messed up. Fine if it’s not the description you want to

Video:Willow Hope- Denbigh Mental Asylum Urban Exploring

Hello Internet People!!

Me and my friend Andy went urban exploring at the abandoned Mental Asylum in Denbigh, North Wales. I’ve been here twice before – the first time I didn’t actually venture in, the previous time and this time I looked around most of the grounds and buildings. I came back this time to get some better photos before it gets more vandalised or demolished, but also because around the time it was built and was a functioning asylum, Melancholia was a common diagnosis for the patients, and it’s just somewhere that I feel drawn too, so I wanted to get some photos to use in my new book.

If you could also check out my website, that would be great. I write a blog and some articles about Asperger’s. I make some Autism Awareness products, as well as various other items featuring my artwork and photography. I also sell my books there too, the first book is full of poems and short stories, written whilst I was in the middle of a nervous breakdown. The second book is for children on the Autistic Spectrum, and is to help them understand sharing. My third book is about living with Asperger Syndrome and has lots of help and advice sections throughout, as well as a timeline on my website with loads more information to go with each chapter!

If it’s not too much trouble, please share this video/like it and comment as well, (I do read them all even if I don’t always respond, same goes for emails) it really helps me out!

Plus, you can head over to twitter and tweet me your thoughts/questions @willowhopepage

I’m always happy to help out with any projects which involve the Autistic Spectrum; I can do videos, interviews, artwork etc. so if you have something in mind, just contact me here to discuss it: [email protected]

I also founded and run a support forum for people on the spectrum, so please head over and sign up! http://www.asperclick.com/

Blog:The Silent Wave- Inside looking out

Blog:The Silent Wave- Inside looking out

Looking out at the world, I see buildings and cars and people.  People milling about, living their lives, doing what they do.  They remind me of ants in little colonies, little communities, doing what needs to be done, because it needs to be done.

I’m sure they’re intelligent and cognizant–the ants, I mean.  OK, I’m kidding, kind of.  The people probably are, too.  But do they stop and think about what it’s all for?

I
